Restorative Yoga Using Salt Lamps and Sound Healing Meditation

Friday, September 22, 2017 from 5:15-7:15 PM @ the Athletic Activity Center, 708 S. Grove Street (in a comfortable space, room 202 in the brick building at the end of the parking lot).

5:15 - 6:00 PM Restorative Yoga - Certified in Yoga with Therapeutic Influences, Suzanne Tindol will lead this gentle, calming, restorative yoga.  Blocks, blankets and bolsters will assist the body into a deep and relaxing state.  This technique will give an optimum state of renewal and relaxation, as well as breathing techniques to bring mental and spiritual harmony. Himalayan Salt lamps will be placed in several areas in the room.  Yoga Nidra will be spoken throughout the restorative portion of this event.

Salt Lamps - Salt Lamps emit negative Ions, which work like natural ionizers keeping the air clean.  Negative ions attach themselves to dust, pollen, mold, fungus and odors.  This is known to be very beneficial for respiratory health. The natural color of the lamp reinforces the rejuvenation and healing influenes.

6:00 - 6:15 PM - A short break with light refreshments.

6:15 - 7:15 PM - Sound Healing Meditation. Billy Zanski, an enthusiastic and inspiring helper in healing, and teacher, has been dedicated to a life of music for over 20 years.  Sharing his joy and passion for journey and presence through sound is his calling in life.

Since 2004, Billy has owned and operated Skinny Beats in downtown Asheville. Sound Healing and taking percussion into the realm of healing has become the cornerstone of his shop. Spending extensive time in West Africa, Brazil, and Chile, Billy has developed a fusion of rhythm and deep frequencies, which he has been facilitating for the past 10 years.

One of Billy's main gift is to allow space for others to connect and feel the peace and presence of sound and music.  Crystal bowls, gongs, didgeridoo, kora (West African Harp) and many forms of percussion, are some of Billy's main instrumentation. Please come and experience this powerful and moving modality.

Cost:  $25 per person and $20 per person if two or more in the same household attend. Class size is limited and prepayment will hold your spot. All props are provided.
